Wheels
We've have been making Invader wheels on and off since 1975 and only use state of the art sealed ball bearings, not the older more maintenance dependant roller type bearings, like other imitators.


Chromed Steel Wheels are the ultimate in style strength and durability. Our triple plated chrome creates a superior bond, unlike aluminum wheels, that will last for years.

All Steel Wheels are Computer Aided Designed (CAD) and precision CNC Machined or Laser cut in the U.S.A. with the highest quality specifications available.

The wheels are hand assembled and TIG or MIG welded that enable the wheels to run true at or better than factory specifications. All our wheels are made to run with or without inner tubes. Should you decide to run a tube, make sure you install a tire that is made for tubes. Do not run a tubeless tire with an inner tube or run a tube type tire without a tube. Check with your tire manufacturer to make sure you have the correct configuration before installing tires on any wheel.

Steel Wheels are stronger than billet aluminum and this strength allows the steel material to be thinner creating a wheel approximately the same weight or less than billet aluminum.

All our wheels are unconditionally guaranteed for one full year against any material, workmanship, or chrome defect, depending on your georaphical location. If you do not take care of any wheel, the chrome will deteriorate rapidly, especially in ocean areas and where salt remains on the road in winter months.

Introducing the new "Invader Dually (tm)". This wheel was desined for wheels 8.5" and wider. Our customers asked for a stronger wheel than the wire spoke wheels and Cast Aluminum wheels for large tires with BIG Power output. WE delivered. The new "Invader Dually(tm)" is designed to reduce twisting of the rear wheel. This new design increases rigidity to reduce flex with high torque motors. The wheel shown here is designed for a 330 series tire on a 17 x 12 rim. The "Invader Dually" is ALL STEEL construction, as is all our Invader wheels, Available in RAW only for Painting. BASIC TECHNICAL INFORMATION

RAW WHEELS
These wheels are not prepped for chrome. They are in a raw state and need to be prepared before painting. Bearing bores are normally .001" - .003" diameter oversize for a slip fit to accommodate any over spray or any foreign buildup in the bores. It is recommended that the customer sand the bores before installing any bearings and preload. Should you over sand or grind the bores, you can use a spring center punch to "rough up" the bore before installing the bearings. When installing bearings, it is recommended that you use LocTite 609 bearing retainer to fill any voids in the bore. The bearing retainer will fill bores that are up to .005" oversize. Read the LocTite instructions before installation and observe the proper "set" time for the LocTite 609. We also measure and fabricate the preload for these wheels. We do not stock an inventory of preloads and hope they work. Each preload is machined to "match" the wheel you order. The spacer included with your RAW wheel is marked with a number that corresponds to the wheel number. The wheel number can be found on the flange or near the valve hole inside the tire rim. Make sure you install the correct internal spacer with the correct wheel number when you order more than one wheel. Installing the wrong internal preload is a big no-no. Serious damage to your wheel or motorcycle and serious bodily injury may result.

CHROMED WHEELS
We control the bearing and preload installation. No need to worry about making the correct preload or whether or not the bearings were installed properly. No "end play" settings are required.

SPACERS
The customer is responsible for all wheel external spacing.

POWER WEDGE ™
Invader wheels has added the Power Wedge to it's line of non-OEM wheels.
This feature is REQUIRED on all rear wheels in 5 spoke configuration for all rims wider than 5.0" The Power Wedge(tm) adds superior torsional strength to all high torque bikes. Should you desire the wheels without the Power Wedge you must sign a waiver.

TIRE INSTALLATION
Installation of tires on Invader Wheels using automated, pneumatic, or hydraulic tire changers may cause wheel damage to the spokes at the hub weld junction in the radial and/or lateral direction. This can happen on all motorcycle wheels. Use caution when applying pressure when breaking a tire bead or installing a tire. Make sure the wheel rim is supported before applying pressure to the tire for removal or installation. Broken or cracked wheels due to excess pressure during these installation processes shall void the warranty.
